FixThat refrigerator services in Delhi begin with a ₹199 check-up that takes voltage and current readings and ends in a written quote before any repair. That fee is adjusted in the final invoice if you approve the work. A fridge that runs but stays warm because its gas has leaked gets the leak brazed, the system vacuumed and fresh gas charged, from ₹1,600 on a single door. Repair work then stays covered for 30 days if the same fault returns.

A technician visits to work out what has gone wrong with your single door fridge. No repair begins until you have a written quote, and if you go ahead, the ₹199 comes off the final repair bill.

A technician visits to work out what has gone wrong with your double door fridge. No repair begins until you have a written quote, and if you go ahead, the ₹199 comes off the final repair bill.

A technician visits to work out what has gone wrong with your double door inverter fridge. No repair begins until you have a written quote, and if you go ahead, the ₹199 comes off the final repair bill.

A technician visits to work out what has gone wrong with your side by side or multi door fridge. No repair begins until you have a written quote, and if you go ahead, the ₹199 comes off the final repair bill.

Your fridge is running but not cooling, as the gas has escaped. We trace the leak, braze it, vacuum the system and fill gas to the correct pressure.
Find your symptom, then book the check-up for your fridge type under that fault name. If a side by side list lacks it, pick Not sure. Same-day slots appear at booking whenever a technician is free.

A single door, double door inverter or side by side check-up takes about 1 hr. A double door non-inverter fridge takes about 1 hr 30 mins. The order below follows what the check-up includes.
IMD puts the normal May high at Safdarjung at 39.9°C, and the station reached 45.1°C on 19 May 2026. A fridge marked climate class T is designed for rooms up to +43°C. A closed kitchen with the burners on can run hotter than the outdoor reading, so a Delhi afternoon can push a fridge past what it was built for.
A fridge cools by dumping heat through its condenser. When the room is already hot and the coil is dusty, that heat leaves slowly and the compressor runs longer. On a non-inverter fridge, that strain often shows up as a click, a short hum and silence, repeated every few minutes. That usually means the overload protector is cutting out a compressor that will not start.
Do not assume the compressor is finished. The start relay and overload protector are much smaller parts, so ask for them to be ruled out first. Inverter compressors have no start relay, so the search moves to the control board instead.
Give the fridge room to breathe too. Samsung asks for at least 2 inches behind the fridge and warns that a tight fit restricts airflow to the condenser.

A frost-free fridge blows air across a hidden evaporator and uses a heater to melt the frost off it now and then. If the heater, its sensor or the timing control fails, ice packs the evaporator and the fan cannot push cold air through. The freezer often stays cold while the lower section slowly warms up.
One pattern points to this fault. Thaw the fridge fully, and cooling returns for some days before fading again. That is a defrost fault, not a gas fault, so a gas refill would not fix it.
Single door direct cool fridges work differently. Samsung India says they do not defrost automatically, and LG India says frost over 1 cm on the cooling plate can lower cooling. Use the defrost button, keep a tray under the freezer box and never chip at the ice with anything sharp.
Monsoon adds its own frost. LG India lists the rainy season, hot food and a door that does not close fully among the causes. If ice returns fast after every defrost in dry months too, ask for the door gasket to be checked.

A fridge does not use up its gas. If the gas is low, it has leaked out, so charging more without closing the leak only delays the same problem. FixThat's gas refill starts with a leak test on the joints and lines. A leak at a reachable joint is brazed, the system is vacuumed to remove moisture, and gas is charged to the right pressure.
The work takes about 2 hrs 30 mins and costs ₹1,600 for a single door or ₹1,900 for a double door.
A side by side is ₹2,400. Cooling is checked in both compartments before the professional leaves, and there is no separate visit fee when you book the gas refill.
Know the limit of that price. It covers brazing at a joint the technician can reach, so ask what any other leak would involve before saying yes. Book the refill directly only when a leak has already been found. If you are guessing, the ₹199 check-up is the safer start.

Part prices come from the rate card on this page. The technician names the part and its price before fitting it.
| Part | Its job | Sign of trouble |
|---|---|---|
| Start relay and overload protector | Start a non-inverter compressor and cut it off when overheated | Click, short hum, then silence |
| Thermostat or temperature sensor | Tell the compressor and fan when to run | Too cold or too warm at any setting |
| Defrost heater and sensor | Melt frost off the evaporator | Cooling fades and returns after a full thaw |
| Evaporator fan | Move cold air through the compartments | Freezer cold, lower section warm, or a fan noise |
| Door gasket | Seal cold air in | A sheet of paper pulls out easily from the closed door |
| Control board (PCB) | Run the fans, display and inverter compressor | Dead display or no start with good supply |
| Compressor | Pump the gas around the system |
A relay, thermostat, fan or gasket on a fridge with a sound body is usually worth repairing. The decision gets harder with a compressor, a control board or a second gas leak. Set the total on the written quote against a similar new fridge, then look at the door, the shelves and any rust at the bottom.
Check the brand's compressor warranty before you pay for anything. It often runs long but covers less than it sounds. LG India's terms, for example, cover the compressor as a part and leave labour with the customer, and the gas too on purchases from 1 August 2024.
If your fridge is still under a brand warranty, call the brand first and read the card, as it says who may open the fridge and what that does to your cover.
The FixThat warranty covers the work done on your booking. If the same fault comes back within 30 days, raise it from your booking page and a technician is sent. A new fault, spare parts not bought through the booking, and damage from misuse or tampering are not covered.
FixThat is run by ProNearMe, so the booking, prices and support team are the same. Read about FixThat or see all home repairs. The same check-up and quote approach applies to AC repair and washing machine repair.
Each fact changes a repair decision: whether the room or the fridge is at fault, how long a supply complaint should take, and what a brand warranty really pays for.
If the socket reading on the check-up is low, a fridge part may not be the real problem. Complain to your power company and note the complaint number. Your bill names the company. BSES Rajdhani (19123) serves South Delhi and West Delhi, BSES Yamuna (19122) serves East Delhi and Central Delhi, and Tata Power-DDL (19124) serves North Delhi and North-West Delhi.
Read the voltage range in your manual before buying a stabiliser, as the need depends on the model. If the MCB trips only when the fridge starts, the fridge needs a check-up. If it trips with other appliances too, the wiring is the likely problem, and FixThat electrical services is the booking to make.
Rule these out before you book. Each one is described as normal by the fridge maker named.

₹199 for single door, double door and side by side fridges. You get a written quote before any repair work starts, and the fee is adjusted in the final repair invoice if you approve the work.
The repair does not go ahead. The ₹199 is adjusted only when you approve the work, so without an approved repair there is no invoice to adjust it against.
Yes, when a slot is open. Same-day slots show at booking when a technician is free. If today has gone, pick the next open slot.
It starts at ₹1,600 on a single door and goes up to ₹2,400 on a side by side. Each price includes the leak test, brazing at a reachable joint, vacuuming and charging the gas.
Not if you book the gas refill directly, as it has no separate visit fee. If a check-up finds the leak and you approve the work, the ₹199 is adjusted in the final invoice.
On a non-inverter fridge, this usually means the compressor is trying to start and the overload protector is cutting it off. The cause can be the relay, the protector, low voltage or the compressor itself.
A blocked drain is a common cause. Samsung India advises unplugging the fridge and pouring lukewarm water into the drain hole on the back wall inside. If that fails or the leak returns, book the water leakage check-up.
Humid air meets cold surfaces, and LG India counts the rainy season among normal causes of frost. Check the door seal by closing the door on a sheet of paper, as Samsung suggests. If the paper pulls out freely, the seal needs attention.
Check the warranty card and your purchase date. Compressor cover often runs for years after the main warranty ends, but it may pay for the part only. Ask the brand what you will pay for labour and gas.
Follow your manual. Beko says at least four hours upright, so the compressor oil settles. LG says about 2 hours after moving it lying down. If in doubt, take the longer wait.
The US FDA says a fridge keeps food cold for about 4 hours if unopened, so keep the door shut until the technician arrives. Throw out anything perishable that has warmed up after that.
The check-up takes about 1 hr, or 1 hr 30 mins on a double door non-inverter fridge. A gas refill takes about 2 hrs 30 mins. Time for other repairs depends on the part, so ask when you get the quote.
