Electrical services in Delhi start at ₹79 for a bulb and holder and ₹89 for one switch or socket, with fan repair at ₹149 and an MCB at ₹169. If you cannot tell what has failed, a ₹49 consultation traces the fault on the switch, wiring or board and puts a written quote on your booking before any work. Book today and a same-day electrician comes if a slot is open near you. Every repair ends with a test.

A home visit to look at the job, with a written quote from the electrician before anything starts. Go ahead with the work and the ₹49 comes off your final bill.

Swap or add one switch, socket, fan regulator or plug on a board you already have.

Repair or change of a whole switchboard, and every switch and socket on it wired back.

Where no concealed box exists, a surface-mounted switchbox is put up on the wall and wired in.

Fan not running, running slow or noisy? It gets checked and fixed.
BestsellerFitting a new fan at a point you already have, or swapping out an old one.

Fitting, changing or repairing a light at a point already in place.

Your chandelier put together, hung and wired in at a ceiling point already in place.

Fresh wiring or a swap for the old line, charged for every 5 metres. Choose your quantity to match the length.

Use this when a submeter, MCB or main board has to go in new or take the place of an old one.

Check-up, servicing, fitting or removal of your home inverter.

Wall mounting for your voltage stabiliser, wired to the supply of the appliance.

New or replacement doorbell, put up and wired in.

Your video door phone mounted by the door and linked to the indoor unit.

Putting up and powering a wireless CCTV camera, or removing one.

Wall mounting for your TV on its bracket, or bringing it down.

A board you already have gets a socket behind or close to the TV.

Setting up your sound bar or home theatre, fixing it in place and linking it to the TV.
Start with what your home is doing. These are the usual causes, and the electrician confirms the real fault on site. Same-day slots depend on what is open near you.

Book a consultation when the fault is not obvious or before a bigger repair. It takes about 30 minutes and ends with a price in writing.
An MCB is a limit on current. BSES guidance on house wiring lists it as over-current protection only, so it reacts to too much load or a short circuit, and not to a small leak. How it trips tells you the fault.
Trips after some minutes of heavy load. The circuit is carrying more than it should. In a Delhi May that often means an AC, a cooler and an iron sharing wiring laid for fans and lights. Move one load to another circuit and see if it holds.
Drops the moment you push it up. Suspect a short circuit. Unplug everything on that circuit and try once more. If it still drops, leave it down and book the ₹49 consultation.
Trips at light load. The MCB or its terminal may be worn, more so if the lever feels hot or slack. One MCB is ₹169 to replace and a main board ₹279, with connections tightened and tested with the power on.
A bigger MCB is not a repair. BSES warns that an over-rated MCB gives no protection, because the rating has to suit the wire and the appliance. If someone offers a higher rating to stop the trips, ask the wire size first. If only the AC trips it and the wiring tests fine, book AC repair in Delhi, as the fault may sit inside the AC.

An RCCB or ELCB looks for current leaking to earth, which an MCB can miss. If yours trips, or a fridge door or geyser tap tingles, treat it as a leak until a test says otherwise. Switch that circuit off at the board.
Unplug the appliances on that circuit and try the RCCB once. If it holds, plug them back one at a time, and the one that trips it is the likely source. A fault inside the machine goes to geyser repair or refrigerator repair.
If it trips with everything unplugged, the leak is probably in the wiring. In the Delhi monsoon, look at damp walls, switchboards and outdoor lights first. Where seepage is the cause, the trips will return until plumbing services stop the water.
Poor earthing makes a leak harder to catch. BSES advises a separate earth pit for each house, no earthing shared between houses, and never a water line as earth. If your board has no RCCB or ELCB, ask during the consultation. It has no line of its own on the rate card, so ask if it can go on your written quote.
Sparks and burnt smells usually begin at a connection, not in the plastic. A loose wire end heats up each time current passes through it, and over months the fitting around it turns brown. So a new plate alone is not enough: the wire end must be sorted too.
A single burnt switch socket is ₹89, the same as a fan regulator or plug. If several points on one board have gone, book the full board at ₹149. It is opened, the faulty parts are fixed or the board is replaced, and every point is reconnected and tested. Where the wall has no concealed box, an external switchbox is ₹199.
Older aluminium wire needs extra care at these points. BSES notes that aluminium bends less, breaks on sharp turns and creeps under screw pressure, which weakens the contact and corrodes the terminal. If the burnt end shows dull grey wire and not copper, ask for a quote on the whole run.

Fan repair is ₹149 and follows the fault from the outside in: supply first, then regulator, then capacitor, and every speed is tested. If the motor hums while the blades sit still, the capacitor is the usual suspect. If the fan runs well at full speed but not lower down, look at the regulator, which is ₹89 on its own.
A grinding motor is the point to compare the quote with a new fan. Fitting a regular fan is ₹99, and a BLDC or decorative one is ₹129.
If one light fails, the lamp or holder is the likely cause: bulb and holder fitting is ₹79, a tube light ₹99 and a ceiling light ₹149. If several lights flicker together, the fault is more likely a loose connection at the board or a dip in supply, so book the consultation.
A silent doorbell comes down to the bell, its switch or the wire between them. Fitting or replacing one is ₹99.
Repair suits a fault that stays in one place, such as one burnt run or a single rat-bitten length. Rewiring makes sense when faults keep moving: sockets brown again, insulation cracks when bent, or several rooms share one tired circuit.
New load is the other trigger. BSES asks homes to check the capacity and condition of their wiring whenever load is added, and to test it at gaps of no more than five years. If a Delhi flat has gained ACs, a geyser and an inverter since it was wired, that check is due now.
Wiring is priced per 5 metres, so measure the route first. External wiring with clips is ₹129, with casing ₹249, and internal wiring through an existing pipe ₹269. A 20 metre casing run is four lots of ₹249. Ask whether the wire is included and have it written on your quote.
On an old fuse board, BSES says never to replace a blown fuse with other material, as the wrong size lets too much current through. For a tenant floor, a submeter is ₹299.

Use these when you read a quote. They come from the national safety regulations, Delhi's Supply Code and BSES wiring guidance.
When Delhi's power goes and the backup lasts less than it used to, start with an inverter check-up at ₹269. Connections are checked, terminals cleaned and tightened, and backup is tested by switching off the mains. If backup stays short after that, the battery may be worn, so ask about it before spending more.
A stabiliser is ₹179 to fix on the wall and connect, and its output is tested. It protects one appliance from dips, but street-wide low voltage is for the power company.
A wireless CCTV camera is ₹329 to install or take down. For doorbell security at a shared gate, a video door phone is ₹599 without a display and ₹749 with one.
TV wall fitting is ₹399 and taking one down is ₹349. If the TV speakers sound thin, a sound bar is ₹199 and a home theatre ₹249. A TV socket is ₹89. A TV that will not start needs TV repair in Delhi.
If the street is dark or voltage swings for everyone, no repair inside your home will help. Report it to the company named on your bill. NDMC and Delhi Cantonment homes use the contact on their own bill.

Light fitting starts at ₹79, a switch or socket is ₹89, fan repair ₹149 and an MCB ₹169. The ₹49 consultation is for faults you cannot name.
Yes, when a slot is open in your area. Book early if you can.
Either the circuit is overloaded or the AC has a fault of its own. The consultation tests the wiring and MCB. If they are fine, book AC repair, as a separate fault in the AC will keep tripping any good MCB.
No. A trip usually means the MCB did its work, so find the cause first. Replace it at ₹169 only if the MCB itself is faulty.
Leave it down and unplug everything on that circuit. If it still will not hold, the leak is probably in the wiring, so book the consultation. Do not keep forcing it, and do not bypass it to get power back.
Yes, as a rule. National safety regulations call for a residual current device of 30 milliamperes or less in homes, and Delhi's Supply Code asks all consumers to fit an earth leakage device. Check your main board for one.
That points to current leaking to earth, either in the geyser or through poor earthing. Switch the geyser off at its MCB and keep away from the tap. An earthing check comes first, then a geyser repair if the leak is inside.
Check this before work starts. Ask for the wire and any parts to be listed on your written quote, so you know the full amount for the length you need.
Not always. It depends on its condition and the load on it. Repeated burnt ends at switches and sockets are the sign to replace the run, and BSES gives thicker sizes for aluminium than for copper.
No. BSES says to use the correct size of ISI fuse and never to replace a burnt-out one with other materials. If fuses keep blowing, have the cause traced.
The work done on your booking. If the same fault returns within 30 days, raise it from your booking page and a technician comes back. There is no labour charge, and any parts are at market price, with the bill shown before purchase.
