A FixThat ₹199 check-up for microwave services in Delhi tests the fuses, door switches, keypad and heating before any repair price is given. A blown fuse, a faulty door switch and a burnt-out magnetron can look alike from outside, so the fault gets named first. You read the written quote on your booking, and the fee is adjusted in the final repair invoice if you approve. If that same fault comes back within 30 days, the repair is covered.

Our technician visits to inspect your solo or grill microwave. You are told the fault and given a written quote before work begins. Say yes to the repair and the ₹199 comes off your final bill.

Our technician visits to inspect your convection microwave, whether it sits on the counter or is built in. You are told the fault and given a written quote before work begins. Say yes to the repair and the ₹199 comes off your final bill.
Convection ovens and solo or grill ovens each have their own check-up at ₹199, whichever problem you pick. Match what you see to the problem below when you book.
| What you see | Usual cause | Pick this problem | Check-up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light and turntable work, food stays cold | High-voltage diode, capacitor, magnetron or a door switch | Not heating | ₹199 |
| No display, no light, no response | Socket, plug, power cord or a blown fuse | Not working | ₹199 |
| Oven starts only when the door is pressed, or will not start | Worn door latch or a faulty door switch | Not working | ₹199 |
| Buttons dead or only some of them respond | Control lock, keypad or control board | Buttons not working | ₹199 |
| Grinding, loud humming or heavy clicking | Dirty roller, loose coupler, fan or turntable motor | Noise | ₹199 |
| Microwave mode works, convection or grill stays cold | Heater side of the oven or the control board | Not heating | ₹199 |
| Sparks inside, burning smell or a mix of faults | Waveguide cover, cavity damage, transformer or more | Not sure or more than one issue | ₹199 |
The check-up takes about 1 hour and runs in this order, from the socket inwards:
The lamp, the turntable and the timer run on low voltage, while heat comes from a separate high-voltage section of transformer, capacitor, diode and magnetron, so an oven can look perfectly alive and still leave your dal cold.
Each part fails in its own way. A burnt diode leaves the magnetron short of voltage, a failed capacitor can stop the whole high-voltage circuit and often bulges or leaks, and a failing transformer may arc and give a burning smell. A burnt-out magnetron cannot be repaired, only replaced.
Rule out three simple causes before you book. Check that the power level is not set low and that the oven is on a wall socket, as Whirlpool says an inverter or generator can run the lights but not the heating. Samsung adds that demo mode counts the timer down fast with no heat, and that picking Kitchen Timer by mistake gives the same result.
A door switch can also cause this, as most microwaves have three or four and one bad switch can stop heating even with the door fully shut. That is why the check-up tests the door before anyone talks about a new magnetron.

If the display is blank and nothing responds, plug a phone charger or small lamp into the same point. If that also fails, the fault is the socket or your wiring, and FixThat electrical services is the booking to make.
If the socket is live, the oven's fuse is the likely next stop, but a new fuse alone may not end the matter. A fuse that blows again points to a fault behind it, so the quote should name that fault as well. Microwaves also carry a thermal fuse or thermoprotector that cuts power when the oven runs too hot.
Airflow matters more in a Delhi May, when IMD's normal high at Safdarjung is 39.9°C. LG asks for 20 cm clear above a countertop oven and 10 cm on the left, right and back, and advises against closing it in a cabinet. A small slab in a DDA flat or builder floor can leave an oven boxed in beside the fridge. Check your manual for its clearances, and ask whether a blocked gap caused the cut-out.
If the MCB trips only when the oven starts, get the oven checked, but if it trips with other appliances running too, the circuit is the likely problem. LG advises against running a microwave from a power bar shared with other small appliances. One 28 litre Samsung convection model draws up to 2,900 W, a poor match for a shared extension board.
Low voltage is a job for the power company named on your bill, not a microwave technician. BSES Rajdhani (19123) covers South Delhi and West Delhi, BSES Yamuna (19122) covers East Delhi and Central Delhi, and Tata Power-DDL (19124) covers North Delhi and North-West Delhi.

Samsung says to stop and unplug the oven the moment you see sparks, then look for foil, metal utensils, twist ties and dishes with gold or silver trim. Decorated thalis and steel katoris are the Indian versions of that list.
LG also names an empty oven, a metal rack touching the wall, and burnt food or spills. Clean the cavity, run a cup of water for 30 seconds as LG suggests, and carry on only if there are no sparks. Samsung warns against running the oven without its glass turntable.
Sparks that continue need a technician, as Samsung points to the waveguide cover, the small panel on the inside wall, or the magnetron. If the inside of the cavity itself is damaged, LG says to stop using the oven and arrange repair.
The US FDA says not to use a microwave whose door does not close firmly or is bent, warped or otherwise damaged, and it names hinges, latches and seals. Keep the oven unplugged and pick Not sure or more than one issue when you book. Samsung suggests wiping the door and frame with a damp cloth to clear debris, but a bent door is not a cleaning problem.

Before you book, look for a control lock, which Whirlpool shows as LOC or L on some models, and check that demo mode is off.
If only some buttons respond, the keypad is the first suspect. If nothing responds but the display is lit, or the timer misbehaves, the control board comes into the picture. The check-up tests the keypad, control board and timer together, since the quote changes a lot between them.
When the quote says control board, ask whether the part is available for your model and how long it will take, because boards often differ by model and one for an older oven can be hard to find.
Some sound is normal, as Samsung puts a steady hum down to the magnetron or fan, light clicks to the glass plate on its track, and popping to moist or fatty food. Service is worth booking when the noise gets much louder, changes, or stays after a clean.
A turntable that has stopped is often a home fix. Samsung India says to check the turntable setting on models that have one, wash the plate and roller in warm soapy water, clean the roller track, dry everything and seat the centre coupler on the motor shaft. A loose coupler usually stops the plate and makes plenty of noise.
If it still does not turn, Samsung India says service is required, so pick Noise at booking and the check-up will cover the turntable, roller and fan.
A convection oven has more to go wrong than a solo one, because it adds a heater and a fan to the magnetron side. That is useful when finding the fault. If water heats in microwave mode but a cake stays pale in convection mode, the magnetron is probably fine, and the heater, fan or control board needs a look.
If convection bakes well but water stays cold in microwave mode, go back to the high-voltage parts and door switches above, and mention both results when you book.
Book the convection check-up for any convection oven, countertop or built-in, and the solo or grill check-up for the others. Both are ₹199 and take about 1 hour, and your model label or manual will show the type.
Charcoal models need one extra look at the warranty card, because LG India gives its charcoal heater a much longer cover than the rest of the oven.
These limits from the regulator, the weather office and the makers decide who you call and what you pay for.
Microwave part prices depend on the model, so the rate card lists the ₹199 check-up and your written quote gives the rest. Read it for what failed, what caused it and what the total comes to with labour.
A fuse, door switch, roller or lamp on a sound oven is usually worth fixing. The decision gets harder with a magnetron or control board on an old oven. Set the quote against a similar new oven, then look at the door, the hinges and the cavity. If those are damaged, a new magnetron does not solve the bigger problem.
If the oven is still under the brand's warranty, call the brand first, and read the card to see who may open it. Read the magnetron line closely. LG India, for example, leaves the magnetron out of its longer charcoal heater cover.
The FixThat warranty covers the repair done on your booking. If the same fault returns within 30 days, raise it from your booking page and a technician comes back. A new fault, parts not bought through the booking, and damage from misuse or tampering are not covered.
ProNearMe runs FixThat, and the booking, prices and support team are shared. Read about FixThat or see all home repairs. If other kitchen appliances need attention, see chimney repair, gas stove repair and refrigerator repair.

The check-up is ₹199 for convection, solo and grill ovens. The repair price depends on the fault and the model, and it comes as a written quote on your booking before any repair starts.
The repair does not go ahead. The ₹199 is adjusted in the final repair invoice only when you approve the work, so with no repair there is no invoice to adjust it against.
Yes, when a slot is open, as booking shows what is available today. If none are left, pick the next open one.
About 1 hour, and any repair after that depends on the fault and on whether a part has to be arranged, so ask for the timing when you read the quote.
There is no fixed price on the rate card, as magnetrons differ by model. The written quote gives the figure. Ask for the door switches and diode to be ruled out first, as they can cause the same no-heat fault.
It is better not to. The fuse sits inside the cover, and Repair Clinic warns that high-voltage capacitors may hold a charge after unplugging. Book a check-up, and the fuse gets tested along with the door switches.
A fuse that blows again usually points to another fault behind it. Ask the technician to name that fault on the quote, so you do not pay for fuses one after another.
Stop and unplug it, then remove any metal and clean the cavity. Run a cup of water for 30 seconds as LG suggests. If sparks return, leave it unplugged and book a check-up.
No. The US FDA says not to use an oven if the door does not close firmly or is bent, warped or damaged. Keep it unplugged until the door has been checked.
Yes, for convection ovens. The convection check-up covers both countertop and built-in models. Mention that it is built in when you book.
Often not. Clean the plate, roller and track, then seat the coupler on the motor shaft, as Samsung India advises. If it still will not turn, pick Noise when you book.
Your power company, named on your bill: BSES Rajdhani on 19123, BSES Yamuna on 19122 or Tata Power-DDL on 19124. Book a check-up if the supply is normal and the oven still fails.
