A gas stove or hob in Delhi that burns low, will not light or smells of gas gets a ₹160 FixThat check-up of the burners, jets, valves, ignition and joints. A written quote reaches your booking before any repair, and the ₹160 is adjusted in the final bill if you approve the work. If grease is the whole problem, a steam service from ₹399 clears the jets on a 2 burner stove. Any same-day slot still open shows up as you book.

A technician visits to diagnose your LPG or PNG gas stove, tracks down the fault and writes a quote before any work starts. Approve the work and the ₹160 is adjusted in your final repair bill.

Your gas stove gets a steam clean, and its burners and jets are cleared out. When grease builds up and jets block, the flame burns low and yellow and gas goes to waste.

Your built-in gas hob gets a steam clean. We clear out the burners, ring caps and jets, then test the ignition.

We fit your new built-in gas hob into the counter cut-out, hook it up to the gas supply and show you that it works.
Start with what you can see at the burner. Each row gives the likely cause and the booking that fits. Where a check-up is listed, the repair itself comes as a written quote.
| What you notice | Likely cause | What to book | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Low or yellow flame on one burner | Grease or food in the burner ports, jet or mixing tube | Gas stove steam service | ₹399 for 2 or 3 burners, ₹449 for 4 |
| Weak flame on every burner | Low gas pressure or a regulator fault | Gas stove check-up, Low flame | ₹160 |
| No flame at one burner | Blocked jet, or a gas valve that does not open | Gas stove or hob check-up, No flame | ₹160 |
| Knob stiff, loose or slipping | Worn gas valve or damaged knob | Gas stove or hob check-up, Knob issue | ₹160 |
| Cracked or old rubber pipe | Wear at the pipe or its joint | Gas stove check-up, Pipe issue | ₹160 |
| Gas smell or hissing | Damaged pipe, loose joint or leaking valve | Shut the gas first, then the check-up for Gas leakage | ₹160 |
| Hob clicks but does not light | Wet burner, misplaced cap, blocked ports or worn electrode | Hob steam service, or Hob check-up if it stays dead | From ₹549, or ₹160 |
| Hob burner will not stay lit | Flame failure device fault, on hobs that have one | Hob check-up, No flame | ₹160 |
| Cracked glass top or dented body | A knock or a dropped pan | Hob check-up, Physical damage | ₹160 |
| New hob to fit | Not a fault | Brand hob installation | ₹499 |
Repairs under FixThat's cooktop services start with a 45 minute check. The gas stove check-up covers both LPG and PNG stoves.
Count the weak burners first, because that tells you where the fault sits. If one burner is low and the rest are fine, gas is reaching the stove and that burner is the problem. Beyond Appliances, a stove and hob maker, says food, grease and dust collect in the ports. Spilt milk or sauce can plug several of them at once.
That is steam service work. For ₹399 on a 2 or 3 burner stove, or ₹449 on a 4 burner, the burners, caps and pan supports come off, the jets and mixing tubes are cleared, and every burner gets a flame test. The hob version costs ₹549 for 2 burners, ₹599 for 3, ₹649 for 4 and ₹699 for 5.
If every burner is weak, cleaning one will not help. Beyond links this to low gas pressure, and Faber adds a regulator that limits the gas reaching the burner. The regulator is part of your LPG distributor's equipment, so a defect there goes to the distributor, not to a repair booking.
Colour is the other clue. Beyond says yellow or orange means incomplete burning, which can produce carbon monoxide and leaves soot on pans. Turn the burner off, let it cool and clean it, then call a technician if the orange stays. If smoke also hangs in the kitchen, that may be a separate chimney repair matter.

When the knob turns but one burner gives nothing, gas is not getting through. A blocked jet is the simple cause. Faber names the harder one: a defective gas valve may not open all the way.
A knob that sticks, feels loose or no longer gives fine control points to wear inside the valve, according to Beyond, and it treats this as a job for a professional. Stop using that burner until it has been looked at.
Book the check-up and pick No flame or Knob issue. It separates a damaged knob from a worn valve, and the written quote shows which part you are paying for.
A hob that clicks and will not light has a spark but no clean path to a flame. Beyond says continuous clicking points to blocked ports, misaligned caps or wet parts. Reseat each cap on its notches, and let wet parts dry fully after a boil-over or a deep clean.
No click at all is a different fault. The hob check-up tests the ignition, generator, battery and microswitches for ₹160, so a flat battery is not mistaken for a failed part. Beyond adds that constant sparking wears the electrode tip down, and that a replacement must match the model.
A burner that lights and then goes off is often a separate matter. On hobs with a flame failure device, the flame heats a thermocouple, which holds the gas valve open until the flame dies. Beyond lists hard lighting and early gas shut-off as signs of a sensor problem. Your manual says how long to hold the knob.
Rule out moving air first. A cooler or pedestal fan aimed at the cooking area in May can push a low flame out, so switch it off and try again. If the burner still goes off, book the check-up under No flame.

Act before you book. On LPG, IndianOil's charter says to switch off the pressure regulator, keep electrical switches, phones and flames away from the area, open doors and windows, and call your distributor or 1906. It also says never to look for a leak with a naked flame.
On piped gas, IGL says not to operate any electrical switch or appliance, to open doors and windows, and to call its emergency line on 155216.
Who comes next depends on where the leak is. The cylinder, regulator and IGL pipeline belong to the gas side, and IndianOil says its distributors attend leak complaints free of charge. The FixThat check-up for Gas leakage, at ₹160, covers the stove or hob side: the joints, knobs and gas valves.
Look at the rubber pipe while the gas is off. IndianOil allows only the Suraksha LPG hose and says to replace it every five years, or sooner if you see wear or damage. IGL also tells piped gas homes to check for cracks and fit a Suraksha tube.
One stove does not burn both gases equally well. BIS says PNG works at a lower pressure than LPG, so the gas cock and injector jet have to be sized differently. That is why an LPG stove needs its nozzles changed when a Delhi home moves to IGL. A trained technician from the gas company usually does this.
A converted stove also gives less heat for the gas it burns. BPCL's figures, listed below, show a drop of 15 points in thermal efficiency on new and old stoves alike. Business Today reported in March 2026 that nearly a quarter of billed gas goes unused on retrofitted stoves.
So slow cooking after the switch may come from the conversion, not a fault. FixThat's rate card has no LPG to PNG conversion, so ask IGL about the jets. The ₹160 check-up does cover PNG stoves and tells you whether the burners and valves are sound. If a converted stove burns poorly after a steam service, compare the quote with a stove built for PNG.
Keep these handy before you buy a stove, change a pipe or call for help. IndianOil's rules are written for Indane customers, so other LPG homes should check with their own distributor.
Brand hob installation is ₹499 and takes about an hour. The hob is placed and fixed in your existing counter cut-out and connected with your hob pipe. The ignition battery is fitted and tested, every joint gets a leak check, and you are shown lighting, flame control and cleaning.
The word to watch is existing. The rate card does not list cutting or widening a counter, so compare the cut-out size in the new hob's manual with your counter before you buy. Keep the hob pipe ready too. If the cabinet under the hob needs work, carpentry services can be booked separately.
Piped gas homes have one more check. IGL says a PNG pipe concealed in a kitchen cupboard should be moved into the open, because leaked gas can collect there. It also wants its control room told before any civil work in the home, so ring IGL before a kitchen is rebuilt.

Repair makes sense when one part has failed and the body is sound: a knob, a valve, an electrode or a burner.
Lean towards replacing when the quote covers several valves at once, the body has rusted through, parts for the model cannot be found, or a converted LPG stove still burns poorly on piped gas. Do not cook on a cracked glass top until it has been checked. When you buy new, look for the ISI mark and pick a stove made for your gas.
A FixThat repair comes with a 30-day warranty on the work, so hold on to your invoice. Cover from the stove or hob brand is separate. If your unit is still under the brand's warranty, speak to the brand first.
ProNearMe runs FixThat, so both share one booking system, price list and support team, as the About page sets out. A leaking kitchen tap goes under plumbing services, and a dead socket under electrical services. Other repairs are on the FixThat home page.

The check-up is ₹160 for a gas stove or a hob. The repair cost then comes as a written quote, because it depends on the fault and the part. The ₹160 is adjusted in the final repair bill if you approve the work.
Book the steam service, from ₹399, when the flame is low or yellow and the stove is greasy. Book the ₹160 check-up for no flame, a gas smell, a knob fault, a pipe issue or anything you cannot place.
The quote comes before any repair starts, so the repair does not go ahead without your approval. The ₹160 is adjusted in the final repair bill when you approve the work.
Yes, where a slot is open. Available times show during booking. For a gas smell, call your distributor or IGL first and do not wait for a slot.
No. IGL says not to fiddle with its pipeline or fittings or call in a local plumber or mechanic, so work on that line goes to IGL. FixThat handles the stove or hob itself.
Your LPG distributor. IndianOil tells customers not to tamper with these and to contact the distributor if anything looks defective.
Conversion is not on the rate card. Ask IGL, as a trained technician from the gas company usually changes the nozzles. A check-up can still look at the burners and valves on a converted stove.
Beyond suggests washing the burner parts monthly for most homes, and more often if you cook a lot. Follow your own manual first. Book a steam service once the flame turns uneven or yellow despite this.
A check-up takes 45 minutes and a gas stove steam service takes 1 hour. A hob steam service takes 1 hour 15 minutes, and hob installation about an hour.
